Wealdstone have announced the signing of nine new players ahead of the 2018/19 National League South season.

Wealdstone ended the 2017/18 season with a win after beating Whitehawk in Brighton thanks to Ricky Wellard’s header.

Wealdstone and Chippenham Town played out a scintillating 4-4 draw at Grosvenor Vale in a game that had three red cards, one hat-trick and eight goals, two of them being overhead kicks.

Chelmsford City kept their slim title hopes alive after comfortably beating Wealdstone at the Melbourne Stadium on Monday night.

Goals from Steve Devlin and Warren Bentley saw relegation battlers Poole Town mount a second-half comeback after Ryan Sellers gave Wealdstone a first-half lead at the BlackGold Stadium.

A second-half comeback saw Wealdstone overcome a lively 10-man Bath City side who would have left Grosvenor Vale wondering how they didn’t get anything from the defeat served up by their hosts.

Wealdstone will have to overturn a slender deficit in the second leg of their FA Trophy semi-final if they are to make it to Wembley.

A battling performance by Stones was very much a case of the good, the bad and the ugly on a pudding of a pitch at the Ironmongery Direct Stadium on Saturday.
