Harrow shaded a hard fought battle on their first visit to Swindon, thanks to two goals in a dominant period towards the end of the first half.

For the second Saturday running, Harrow contrived to throw away a leading position, returning pointless from an intensely-frustrating afternoon on the banks of the Thames.

The book of Harrow Borough FA Trophy disasters is already a long one, but it had another significant chapter added to it on a bitingly cold and wet afternoon in Bedfordshire.

Harrow brought out their best away form on a beautiful Autumn afternoon at The Rogers Family Stadium to claim a home win.

Harrow collected three points on their travels with this emphatic win in Somerset after superb strikes from wing-backs George Moore and Ryan Haugh and a stand-out display from goalkeeper Hafed Al-Droubi.

For the fourth time running, there was a late goal at The Rogers Family Stadium, and for the second time of the four it was to Harrow's advantage.

Queens Park Rangers are out of the Carabao Cup after a 2-0 defeat at Sky Bet League One side Blackpool.

A draw would have been a fair result from an entertaining, albeit error-strewn, contest but it was the Hampshire visitors who took the points with a breakaway goal on 84 minutes.

With £6,000 on the line, Harrow put in their worst performance of the season as they weakly exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle.

Saturday, September 8, 2018

Hornchurch maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought and at times nervous win over Southern League Harrow Borough, who could arguably have merited a replay.

Harrow had the majority of the possession in this lively and entertaining tie, but lost 4-2 on penalties.

Harrow claimed a 91st-minute equaliser to earn a share of the Southern League spoils with Salisbury, a week after being stunned by a last-gasp Tiverton Town goal at The Roger Family Stadium.

A remarkable five goals in 12 second-half minutes, including a six-minute hat-trick from George Moore, saw Harrow tear apart a makeshift Lowestoft team on Thursday night.

It had been 19 league games since Harrow had last had a draw, but that sequence ended in an entertaining game on a bright Spring afternoon on the Essex coast, with the nominal right-back of each side on-target.

A second-half brace from Kurtis Cumberbatch and first league clean sheet since the start of December, brought three massive points to Harrow and created a little more breathing space near the foot of the table.

It remains to be seen just how important Charles Banya's 81st-minute strike will be come the end of the season, but it felt huge on Saturday.

A new year, but the same old result as a heavy defeat signed off a dreadful festive period for Harrow.

An individual error again proved key as Harrow fell to defeat at Tonbridge.
