A BUSY weekend for Willesden Cycling Club saw excellent times recorded by Meurig James and Chris James.

After winning the Abergavenny 25 on Thursday, Meurig James finished fourth in the Welsh National 50 Championship with a PB of 1:52.54.

Chris James also recorded a PB with 2:10.55 in the Finsbury Park 50, while Lance Woodman's 2:06.03 was his fastest in several years. Gill Reynolds rode in the Hantspol CC 25 in Hampshire and won the second lady award with a time of 1:06.46.

Stuart Birnie rode the 180km long Welsh Dragon Sportive in 7:15.00, alongside Simon Wicks, John Williams and Mike Ellison.
