Wembley welterweight Gary Corcoran returns to the ring at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday, writes Ken Sellek.

Corcoran, who boxed for Dale Youth BC in the earlier stages of his career, faces off against Stoke Newington’s Larry Ekundayo on a Queensberry Promotion.

And he will be looking to maintain a successful professional career that has seen him suffer just one defeat in 16 outings.

That reverse came against Welshman Liam Williams, when he challenged for the British super-welterweight title in Cardiff.

Meanwhile, former Prizefighter winner Ekundayo, who started his boxing career with Haringey BC with whom he was crowned a London Elite champion, is unbeaten in 12 fights.

Another former Dale Youth boxer set to feature on the bill is 19-year-old heavyweight Daniel Dubois, searching for his fourth successive win in the paid ranks when he meets Mexican Julian Fernandez.
