Paddington’s Tin-Tin Ho had some good wins as England finished in 23rd place at the European Champoinships in Luxembourg.

The 19-year-old was part of a squad which competed in the second-tier Challenge Division and won both her matches as England beat Greece 3-1 in their opener.

Ho notched a good 3-2 (11-5, 6-11, 9-11, 12-10, 13-11) victory over Manca Fajmut in the second group game against Slovenia, but was defeated by Alex Galic as England lost 3-2.

England returned to winning ways with a 3-1 scoreline over Israel, with Ho winning both her matches once again.

And in the play-off stage, Ho had one win and one defeat against Azerbaijan and Serbia as England lost 3-2 and 3-1 respectively. But a 3-0 win over Lithuania, with Ho beating Aukse Rasimaviciene 3-0 (11-9, 11-7, 11-8), saw England clinch 23rd spot.

Ho will now focus on a busy season, with the Team World Cup in London in February and the Commonwealth Games in Australia in April.
