Successful weekend for Willesden Cycling Club

Willesden Cycling Club’s Ray Tucker produced a superb performance to finish fifth in the World Championship Biathlon.

Jane Swain was also in action at the weekend, setting a new veterans’ and club record in the national championship 12-hour event covering 187.9 miles.

Stuart Birnie competed in the same race, finishing seventh with a total of 271.6.

Meanwhile, the Woodford family continues to have success on the track at Welwyn. Roger won the senior elimination race and was second in the block handicap.

Fifteen-year-old Connor was third in the youth eight-lap scratch race and the two-laps points, and finished second in the elimination and six-lap handicap races.
