Greenlands Lane side beat Actonians 15-3 at home last Saturday

Hendon will want to build on an important win last weekend when they visit St Albans in Herts/Middlesex One on Saturday.

The Greenlands Lane outfit collected a 15-3 victory at home to Actonians in the league last weekend.

TJ O’Sullivan scored two tries for Hendon in the success, while Will Thacker also dotted down.

In the closing moments against Actonians, the Greenlands Lane side pushed hard for a fourth try that would have secured a bonus point, but to no avail.

It was a second win in a row for Hendon, but head coach Phil Smith knows his team can do better.

“The team put in a good shift, but have previously played better,” said Smith.

“With a number of key players missing for the game, positional changes were necessary with other players stepping up to cover.

“This shows that the training sessions during the week are proving key in maintaining our position in this most competitive league.”
