Greenlands Lane outfit won 41-26 away to Actonians last weekend

Hendon will aim to rack up a third straight win in Herts/Middlesex One when they entertain St Albans on Saturday.

The Greenlands Lane outfit won 41-26 at Actonians for their latest success last weekend, but they were made to work hard for their triumph.

Tries from Kankretu Vytautas, Billy Burrell, Donal O’Sullivan and a brace from Chris Kiyingi, as well as 11 points from the boot of Cian Hynes, saw Hendon lead 36-7 at the break.

Hendon were surely feelnig nervous after Actonians started the second half brilliantly and cut the deficit to just 10 points.

Thankfully, Burrell crossed for his second try of the game for a score that seemed to end Actonians’ fightback.

Hendon will hope there are no similar nerves this weekend as they welcome St Albans in their final home game of the season.

And they will hope to sign off from Greenlands Lane this term in perfect fashion by claiming another victory.
