Greenlands Lane club earned a 19-14 victory at home to Thamesians last Saturday

Hendon will hope to profit from their trip to Bank of England in Herts/Middlesex One on Saturday.

The Greenlands Lane club enjoyed a great return last weekend as they beat Thamesians 19-14 at home to end a run of four straight league defeats.

Gabriel Murillo, Toby Ikwueke and Chris Kiyingi all dotted down in the win, with Cian Hynes adding two conversions as Hendon’s hard work paid dividends.

And head coach Phil Smith was delighted the Greenlands Lane club were able to cash in on a good display to beat Thamesians.

“The team played as a complete unit with the right attitude and discipline with only a few penalties against us compared with the last couple of matches,” said Smith.

“We must work on match fitness for future success in this most competitive league.”

Hendon will hope they can earn another victory in the league on Saturday when they make the trip south of the river to face Bank of England.
