Herts/Middlesex One: Barnet Elizabethans 7 Hendon 61
Hendon secured third place in Herts/Middlesex One with a 61-7 success away to Barnet Elizabethans on the final day of the season.
Will Theaker opened the scoring for the Greenlands Lane outfit in just the second minute and the visitors never looked back.
Cian Hynes had a solid day from the tee as he only missed one of nine conversions, with three successful kicks coming from out near the touchline.
The honour of scoring the final try of the season for Hendon went to Tom Mathias which was a real wing’s effort.
“I am delighted in my first season with Hendon to have had the benefit of using Allianz Park for coaching and the positive response from the players for attacking rugby that has resulted since Christmas in eight wins and one narrow loss at Finsbury Park,” said director of rugby Phil Smith.
“We’ve had one of the best attacks and defences in the league this season and that can be worked on to push for promotion next season.”
