WEALDSTONE have overcome their mid-season wobble and are now ready to make a charge for the play-offs, according to manager Gordon Bartlett.

The Stones ended a run of five winless matches in the Ryman League Premier Division with victory over Hendon last Saturday, and Bartlett believes his side are gradually rediscovering the form they showed in the first half of the season.

"Hopefully now we can get the show on the road," said Bartlett. "We're only one win away from the play-offs and we've got games up our sleeves. It's about mindset and a victory eases the nerves.

"It was a much-needed win against Hendon - we've had a bit of a stutter in the last few weeks. I think this was our sixth game in 15 days and we're suffering from a few heavy legs, so it's not been the easiest time.

"But we're an extremely young side, and I think we were feeling the pressure after a good start to the season.

"Expectation levels change, our ability hasn't changed but there's been a few nerves creeping in during the last few weeks, hopefully now we're over that."

Bartlett's side were unable to build on that victory on Tuesday night, though, as their home clash with leaders Dartford was postponed for the second time due to a waterlogged pitch.
