Saints kick off new term on August 18

St Panteleimon continued their preparations ahead of the new Middlesex County Premier Division with a blessing last Saturday.

Fr Anastasios D. Salapatas officiated at the blessing of the team at St Panteleimon and St Paraskevi Church in Harrow.

The blessing was attended by many members of the team, as well as manager George Frangeskou and chairman Savvas Andreou.

Also in attendance were committee members, sponsors and some of the Saints’ passionate fanbase.

At the end of the ceremony, Fr Anastasios greeted everyone with warm words, emphasising the importance of faith, as well as of the Greek Orthodox community connections.

Following the blessing, a ceremony was held in the St Panteleimon Community Centre, where the club’s kit for the new season was unveiled.

The day of celebration was then rounded out by Saints drawing 1-1 against South Kilburn in a pre-season friendly, with Nikos Salapatas on target.

Saints begin the new term against PFC Victoria London on August 18.
