Stones were beaten 3-0 at home to Eastbourne Borough last Saturday

Wealdstone will be aiming to return to winning ways on Saturday when they visit St Albans City in the Vanarama National League South.

Stones suffered a disappointing afternoon last weekend as they went down 3-0 at home to Eastbourne Borough in the league.

Bobby Wilkinson’s men trailed 2-0 at the break after Ryan Hall and Dean Cox netted for the Sports, while the home team had Christian Smith dismissed.

Though the Grosvenor Vale outfit improved in the second half, Danny Green missed a penalty prior to Hall netting his second of the match in the closing moments.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Wealdstone, not least because it saw them lose ground on their rivals for a top seven finish.

Stones will have dusted themselves down in time for Saturday’s trip to St Albans, who currently occupy a spot in mid-table.

Wilkinson’s men will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday in their bid to return to the top seven.
