Defender unlikely to play again this term because of hamstring injury
Queens Park Rangers defender Joel Lynch will miss the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.
The Wales international sustained the injury in the 4-0 loss at Hull City in the Championship earlier this month, going off in the 15th minute at the KCOM Stadium.
QPR boss Ian Holloway confirmed following the 2-1 defeat at home to Preston North End on Saturday that Lynch would miss the remainder of the season with the injury.
It means another injury-ravaged campaign has come to an end for the 30-year-old, who has made just 58 appearances for the Loftus Road side since joining from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2016.
News of Lynch being ruled out for the season will come as a blow for Holloway, who is also without the suspended Nedum Onuoha for the trip to Brentford on Saturday.
The Rs boss will likely play Alex Baptiste and Jack Robinson in defence again, with the pair having started the last two games for the west Londoners.
