Rs host Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, before welcoming Aston Villa on Friday
Tomer Hemed admits Queens Park Rangers face a difficult week in the Sky Bet Championship, starting with Tuesday’s game at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Rs return home to Loftus Road in midweek to host the Owls after a 2-0 win at bottom-club Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Steve McClaren’s men are also at home in the league on Friday when they welcome Aston Villa to west London.
Having gone unbeaten in each of their last three games in the league, Hemed hopes QPR will extend that run this week.
But the Israel international, who is on loan from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion, knows it will be a testing few days for the Rs.
“It’s a tough week, but we will be ready for these games,” Hemed told the club website.
“Firstly we need to think about Tuesday, which is a hard game against a good team, but we need to look at ourselves as we have shown we can play good football against any team.”
Hemed scored the second goal from the spot for QPR at Ipswich after the visitors had earlier taken the lead through a Dean Gerken own goal.
It was a successful return to club action for the forward, who had represented Israel in the UEFA Nations League over the international break.
While Hemed was playing for his country, some of his QPR colleagues remained with the club during the international break, but the 31-year-old was pleased to return with a goal at Portman Road.
“The others had a weekend off and I had games to play but the manager has taken the decision to play me and I am happy he has as I’ve scored and helped the team win,” he added.
“We all worked hard and showed from the first minute that we came to win.”
