Rs are unbeaten in their last three league games after seeing displays pick up

Steve McClaren has called on Queens Park Rangers not to let their level of performance drop ahead of hosting Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship on Wednesday.

After a sticky start to the new term, things have picked up for the Rs in recent weeks with two wins and a draw in their last three matches.

The upturn in results has coincided with a string of improved displays from the Loftus Road club, and boss McClaren has challenged his side to maintain that level of performance for the visit from the lions.

“We’ve challenged the players not to dip below a line. Not to go from an excellent performance one week to a poor one the next. We’re looking for a level of consistency,” the former England boss told the club website.

“We know what Millwall are all about, they play to their strengths and it is going to be a very explosive game.

“They should have beaten Leeds on Saturday. I watched the game and they should have won it in the end, they dominated them.

“It is a difficult game always a difficult game against Millwall; we have to put in performances like we did against Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers where we had to really, really compete at the top level to get results.”
