QPR manager Luigi de Canio dedicated Saturday's stirring fightback to injured striker Rowan Vine, who is out for the season with a broken leg.

Vine fractured his left leg in training at Harlington last Thursday and, despite undergoing a successful operation that night, faces several months on the sidelines.

"Through Rowan's injury we lost a very special player and another who identifies the spirit of this team," said de Canio.

"The draw and especially the last few minutes were for Rowan. I'm sure he would have had a big smile on his face."

The 25-year-old, who joined Rangers on loan from Birmingham in October before completing a permanent £1m move in the new year, has scored six goals in 33 appearances.

If the injury heals as expected, Vine could be back in action for QPR early next season.

MIDFIELDER Adam Bolder, whose QPR contract expires this summer, has extended his loan at Sheffield Wednesday for a third month.

Bolder netted both goals for Wednesday on Tuesday night as they drew 2-2 with Steel City rivals United at Bramall Lane.
