Steven Caulker believes a fully fit Adel Taarabt can inspire QPR to better results after the international break.
The Moroccan’s ability to create chances is a skill Caulker believes the Rs have been lacking so far this season.
Caulker said: “Adel is unbelievable and if we get him fit, which I’m sure he will be over the next few weeks, then he is a massive asset to the club and to the team.
“If we can get him fit he will add a lot of sparks to our play because he wants the ball, he is great on the ball, he can get a shot off.
“He can link the play up and he can put strikers in, which is what we need. We are not creating enough so hopefully he can add to that.”
The Rs continue to use sports psychologist Steve Black, who was instrumental in helping the team achieve promotion last season.
Caulker believes Black has a big part to play again this time around as the Rangers players look to produce better performances.
He said: “He has been doing a lot of stuff with us home and away. He comes into the changing room before games and just tries to get us right mentally.
“The psychological side of the game plays a big part. As you could see we were a little bit low on confidence when the first goal went in [against West Ham] and we don’t want that.
“We need to be at it, we need to be on the front foot and we need to believe in our ability because we have got a good enough squad to stay in the Premier League.”
Caulker was relegated with Cardiff City last season and says manager Harry Redknapp had every right to read the players the riot act after the West Ham defeat.
He said: “It is very disappointing to be bottom of the league. Whether it is seven games in or 38 games in, it is still hard to take.
“The gaffer was annoyed and disappointed with us and rightly so. We are going to be in for a long two weeks working hard, and hopefully we can get things right for Liverpool.”
