WILLESDEN Constantine's first away game of the season ended with a hard-earned three points as they lifted themselves to mid-table in the Middlesex County League Premier Division.

After seven straight home games, Labinot Krasniqi was once again the matchwinner for the Cons, pouncing on 35 minutes to score the only goal of the game and lift his side to eighth in the table.

A physical game was memorable more for the heavy tactics employed by Kodak than it was for goalmouth action, as the home side littered the opening exchanges with crunching tackles.

But Krasniqi provided a moment of genuine quality on 35 minutes, easing past a couple of defenders and sliding the ball home for his sixth goal of the season.

Matt Krasniqi came within inches of following in his brother's footsteps, hitting the crossbar before half time.

Playing uphill in the second half, Constantine found themselves on the defensive as Kodak bombarded their back line with long balls, but the visitors' centre-backs stood firm to help preserve the win.

Willesden Constantine: Purcell, O'Reagan, Hussein, Dadson, Elmi, Graham, Kellar, Robert, M Krasniqi, L Krasniqi, Osman.
