Keeper will remain with Stones until the end of 2018/19 season

Wealdstone have been handed a boost ahead of the run-in to the end of the season with the news that keeper Jonathan North will remain with the club.

Stones have confirmed that North has extended his contract with the National League South outfit until the end of next season.

The stopper initial joined the Grosvenor Vale outfit in 2010 from Watford and is approaching 350 games for Wealdstone.

North has been a key part of boss Bobby Wilkinson’s plans this term and looks set to be an important cog in the team again next term.

The news of North’s extension is not the only piece of good news for Stones this week, with the club having picked up two wins in the league in the past week.

The Grosvenor Vale side beat Bath City 2-1 at home on Saturday, before Wilkinson guided his current side to a 3-1 win at former club Hungerford Town on Monday.
