QPR'S old boys head to Liverpool this Sunday with the aim of adding the national Masters championship to their London title.

The Rangers squad, who beat West Ham on penalties at Wembley Arena in June, will compete in the national Masters finals for the first time.

Danny Maddix again captains the squad, which also includes three other members of the Rangers side that finished fifth in the inaugural Premier League - Tony Roberts, Andy Sinton and Bradley Allen.

They will prepare with a group bonding session hosted by another former Rs man, Paul Murray, at his home in the north-west.

The eight-team tournament, at the Echo Arena, gets under way at 7pm and is a straight knockout format, with QPR facing Middlesbrough in the second tie of the evening.

Should they triumph, the Rs will take on either Barnsley or Bolton for a place in the grand final.
