Bostik Premier: Lowestoft Town 2 (Hodd 45, Batlowka 70) Hendon 1 (Joseph 51)

Hendon’s play-off push in the Bostik Premier took a hit with a 2-1 loss away to Lowestoft Town.

Despite the defeat, the Silver Jubilee Park outfit remain in the play-off places, but could have strengthened their position with all three points.

The first half looked to be ending goalless, but the Trawler Boys took the lead in stoppage time through Harvey Hodd.

The Greens, though, restored parity just six minutes into the second half when Zak Joseph found the target.

However, Lowestoft regained their advantage in the 70th minute when Renei Batlowka scored what proved to be the winner.

Gary McCann’s men will hope Saturday’s trip to Kingstonian sees them get their play-off push back on track.
