Pre-season match was part of deal that took Ibrahim Meite to Bluebirds in January

Harrow are set for a glamour tie this weekend when they welcome Championship outfit Cardiff City to the Earlsmead Stadium.

The match has been arranged as part of the deal which saw Ibrahim Meite leave Boro to move to the Bluebirds in the January transfer window.

Since leaving Harrow, the 20-year-old Meite has played once for Cardiff, making his debut when coming off the bench against Wigan Athletic in April.

One man who will not feature in Saturday’s game is former Harrow club captain Marc Charles after the Earlsfield Stadium outfit announced he would not be re-signing for the 2017/18 season.

A fine servant for Boro, Charles made 202 appearances for the club across a three-and-a-half year spell, scoring 62 goals, but has now moved on.

Following Charle’s departure, a club statement read: “Everyone connected with Harrow Borough would like to wish Marc all the best for the future.”
