A Leo Pedro brace and a Zak Joseph strike saw Hendon begin their pre-season schedule with a 3-1 win at home to Hanwell Town.

Despite the final score, it was Town who scored first at Silver Jubilee Park, bundling the ball into the net after a corner was not properly cleared.

Moments later, the Greens were level when Joseph scored on the rebound after Niko Muir’s initial effort had been saved.

In thr 14th minute, Hendon hit the front when Pedro, a trialist who spent last season with Uxbridge, found the net after good work on the flank by Keagan Cole.

Pedro then nabbed his second of the match 14 minutes later with a fine effort from the edge of the area, with his display surely impressing Greens manager Gary McCann.

The Hendon boss has already made a move for defender Rian Bray who has signed a contract with the Isthmian Premier club after being released by Millwall of the Championship.
