Boro endured a difficult afternoon at Taunton Town last Saturday

Harrow Borough will want to tighten up at the back when they welcome Merthyr Town in the Evo-Stik South Premier South on Saturday.

Boro were well-beaten last Saturday as they went down 7-0 away to league leaders Taunton Town, although there were mitigating circumstances.

Two goals in quick succession as the end of the first half would have upset manager Steve Baker as the visitors trailed 2-0 at the break.

By that point, though, the Rogers Family Stadium club were already down to eight men after Mitchal Gough, George Fenton and Ant O’Connor were dismissed.

The second half was always likely to be tough on a tiring Harrow side and so it proved as they conceded five further goals.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Boro and one they would surely like to move quickly on from.

Baker will want his boys to get back to winning ways on Saturday, but know it will be tough against a Martyrs team pushing for promotion this term.
