Brent under-11 girls secured a 1-0 victory over Ruislip Rangers in the final game of three matches between the sides.

Tirian Lewis impressed up front for Brent, as did Tammy Nathanial, who started in goal.

The only goal of the game came from captain Giuseppina Carnevale, who rounded out a superb team move with a fierce drive into the top corner.

“The players worked really hard and played some good stuff against a really good Ruislip team,” said coach Chris Ampofo after the victory.

“They are improving all the time. I’d like to thank Ruislip Rangers as the games were played in a great spirit.

“I’d also like to congratulate young ref Jaevon Braithwaite who refereed the game brilliantly”.

Brent: Carnevale, Dibley-Dias, Ulusele, Kennedy, Rosenberg, Nathanial, Lewis.

• Elsewhere, the Brent under-15 girls’ team won 3-1 against Barnet and the under-11 girls’ squad went down 5-0 against a strong Barnet outfit.
