The Brent girls' team continued their superb start to the season with another great display at the London Bees mini-tournament at The Hive on Sunday.

The borough girls were unbeaten in all three games and thanks to superb defending from Keely Dibley-Dias and Matilda Easterby, plus a brilliant debut from keeper Milly-May Blue, conceded only two goals.

The highlight of the tournament was a 2-1 win against a strong Ruislip Rangers side, with Giussepina Carnevale scoring twice in the triumph, though Brent had to withstand a late fightback from their rivals to hold on to their advantage and triumph.

Following the win over Ruislip, Brent coach Chris Ampofo said: “I’d like to congratulate both teams for playing a great game with a game great spirit.

“The Brent girls are improving every game. Their hard work is paying off.”

Brent: Huber, G Carnevale, M Carnevale, Dibley-Dias, Easterby, Ampofo, Rosenberg, Blue, Kew.
