Free event takes place on April 11 at Willesden Sports Centre

Young girls in Brent are being encouraged to sign up for an FA Skills event over the half-term period.

The free event takes place at Willesden Sport Centre in Donnington Road on April 11, with sessions running from 10am-midday and from 12.30pm-2.30pm.

Led by FA Skills coach Gary Roberts, the sessions are open to all girls aged from five to 11 years old.

The sessions will take place indoors, so any child looking to attend is asked to where appropriate sportswear.

Brent Schools FA chairman Chris Ampofo, who is a fan of the programme and supports it, said: “These sessions are a great opportunity for girls of any standard, from beginner up, to have fun and receive quality coaching.

“It is a great initiative from the FA. Gary and his team do a great job and I would recommend the sessions.”

To book your place, visit thefa.com/skills. For more information above the event, please send an email to Gary.Roberts@TheFA.com.
