The draw has been made for the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy

Wealdstone will host National League South rivals Chelmsford City in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy after the draw was made on Monday.

The draw saw teams from the sixth tier of English football, including Stones, enter the competition.

Though they are at home, Bobby Wilkinson’s men have been handed a difficult tie, with the Clarets just a point and a place above Wealdstone in the league table.

Bostik Premier promotion hopefuls Hendon, who beat Burgess Hill Town 3-0 in the second qualifying round on Saturday, will host Slough Town in the next stage.

Wingate & Finchley’s reward for a 3-1 win at Corinthian-Casuals is a trip to Bostik Premier rivals Metropolitan Police in the third qualifying round.

The winner of the replay between Sittingbourne and Bostik North club Haringey Borough, meanwhile, will host Thame United.

The third qualifying round matches are due to take place on November 25, with winners of the ties pocketing £5,000 in prize money.

FA Trophy third qualifying round draw, selected ties: HENDON v Slough Town; Metropolitan Police v WINGATE & FINCHLEY; Sittingbourne or HARINGEY BOROUGH v Thame United.
