Stones drawn away to Beachboys

Wealdstone will come up against a familiar foe in the FA Trophy third qualifying round after being drawn away to Vanarama National League South rivals Concord Rangers.

The draw for the third qualifying round was made on Monday, with teams from the National League North and South entering at that stage.

Stones have been handed a difficult task against a Beachboys side they will know well, having already faced Sammy Moore’s men once in the league this term.

August’s meeting between the sides ended in a 1-1 draw at Grosvenor Vale, with Danny Green netting for Bobby Wilkinson’s men that day.

Stones, though, will be hoping they can get the better of Concord and collect the £5,000 on offer in prize money.

At the same stage of last season’s competition, Wealdstone also faced a divisional rival as they eventually progressed past Chelmsford City following a replay.

Ties in this season’s third qualifying round will take place over the weekend of November 24.
