Boro beaten by Hendon in the league on Monday — their first loss of the season

Harrow Borough will hope to bounce back in their FA Cup first qualifying round tie at Enfield Town on Saturday after a disappointing defeat in the Bostik Premier on Bank Holiday Monday.

Steve Baker’s men headed into their clash at local rivals Hendon on Monday top of the table, having beaten Tonbridge Angels 2-0 on Saturday with Michael Bryan and Will Turl on target.

However, against the Greens, Boro were beaten for the first time this season as they slumped to a 6-0 loss at Silver Jubilee Park.

Harrow will have to tighten up ahead of the weekend when they visit divisional rivals Enfield in the FA Cup.

Last season, the Earlsmead Stadium club progressed through the four qualifying rounds to make it through to the first round proper.

There, Boro were drawn away to League One outfit Northampton Town, who triumphed 6-0 at Sixfields last November, but Harrow will hope for a similar run this year.
