A GOAL in each half brought the London FA Schools' under-13 Cup to Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School as they saw off Thomas Tallis 2-0.

Suki Kesington slammed a 25-yard thunderbolt into the top right-hand corner of the Thomas Tallis net to open the scoring in the first half of the final at Kingsbury London Tigers FC.

Cardinal Vaughan continued to dominate and, although top scorer Kevin Irikefe's effort was ruled out for offside, he responded by putting the ball in the net for a second time to seal his side's victory.

The Holland Park school had won five of their six previous ties to reach the final, although they needed a penalty shoot-out to go through after a 4-4 draw with Haberdashers Askes in the fourth round.
