The Brent under-12 boys’ football team are through to the next round of the Middlesex Cup following a 3-2 success over Hounslow.

The result saw the borough youngsters win for the first time this season, but in truth they could have triumphed by more.

Brent dominated the contest from the off, with Shaydon Joseph netting twice on his way to being named man of the match.

The borough team were lifted by the excellent support that they had from friends and family on the sidelines.

*The Brent under-11 boys team delivered a string of solid displays when competing in the Reading FC Invitational Tournament.

The event was held at Reading’s Madejski Stadium, with Brent recording two wins and two defeats from their four matches.

The under-11 ‘B’ team, meanwhile, were beaten 3-1 by Bexley in their latest encounter.

*Middlesex were edged out 3-2 by Surrey in their latest game in the South-East England League.
