Harrow Challenge Trophy final: AFC Wembley under-16s 4 Headstone Manor Youth under-16s 1

AFC Wembley under-16 brought their season to a close by winning the Harrow Challenge Trophy with a 4-1 win over Headstone Manor Youth in the final.

Wembley raced into a three-goal half-time lead with Rumsfield Asante, Jaevon Braithwaite and Javell Simpson all on target in the opening 45 minutes.

The best goal of the game was scored by captain Robert Lee, who dispatched a delightful free-kick from 25 yards into the top corner in the second half.

Headstone were able to pull a goal back in the closing minutes of the final, but it proved to be little more than a consolation effort.

Success in the Harrow Challenge Trophy followed victory in the Harrow League Cup earlier this season, leaving Wembley under-16s to toast a double at the end of this term.

The Wembley unders-16s side includes three Brent district players and are managed by former Chelsea man and veteran Brent coach Ian Braithwaite.
