Harrow Youth League Division One: AFC Wembley 4 Wealdstone 3

Kai Thomas-Phillips netted a brace as AFC Wembley under-13s secured a 4-3 win over Wealdstone in the Harrow Youth League Division One.

The victory for Wembley saw them avenge a 5-4 defeat to Wealdstone earlier in the season.

Thomas-Phillips scored twice for Wembley in the win, while Noah Cassius and Jeremiah Totele were also on target.

Ope Kuforui took home man of the match honours after a stunning display in central midfield for Wembley that saw him contribute both in attack and defence.

“The boys have shown tremendous development over the past few weeks, not just with their individual efforts, but collectively as a team,” said coach Tajean Hutton.

“After a rollercoaster start to the season for various reasons, they are now challenging for first place in the league which is a testament to their dedication.”

It was a fine success for Wembley and one they will hope they can build on in the coming weeks.
