PETE Cookson and Gill Reynolds joined forces for Willesden Cycling Club to win the team award in the London veterans 10-mile time trial at Fifield on Wednesday afternoon.

Cookson recorded 25 minutes 27 seconds and, combined with Reynolds' time of 26:43, they won the standard award with a plus of 8:38. Also riding at the event were Chris Vessey (28:02) and Ron Purdy (32:02).

On Saturday, Meurig James finished in fourth place at the Crabwood CC 10 in Andover, recording an excellent ride of 21:28.

Meanwhile Lance Woolman recorded a new personal best in the west London CA 30 miles at Bentley, riding an excellent time of 1:16.11.
