South Hampstead crowned Division One champions

South Hampstead sealed a 50 run victory over Perivale Phoneicians on the final day to be crowned champions of the Middlesex Championship Division One.
The win nabbed them the title by just four points and secured their promotion into the Premier Division for next season after only losing once all season.
Perivale won the toss and elected to bowl first on a green top South Hampstead pitch. SH got of to an excellent start, openers Rizwan Mohammed (44) and Leroy Shepherd (53) set the platform scoring at a steady rate putting on a 106 partnership before Shepherd was given out LBW.
The in-form skipper Nish Patel came in at three with overseas player Ruhan Tirmizi unavailable this week, however was dismissed early for only 7.
Collin Clarke (49) played very freely as he does and got the score moving again.

Jerus Reemaul (12) was controversially given out caught behind, SH were able to build small partnerships from the lower order and eventually made a respectable 250-8 from 45 overs.
PP made a good effort of their run chase and became the first team to score 200 against SH bowling attack.
Youngster Muz Muafey bowled with very good discipline taking 2-18 in his nine overs.
Also Majid Akram bowled a good nine over spell taking 3-34 which ensured the victory.
An excellent effort from the lads saw us home and promoted as Perivale were eventually bowled out for 200 in 44.1 overs.
Captain Nish Patel said: "I'm thrilled with the team effort and the contribution of every single member of this club who supported our promotion push including our youngsters who stepped up into the first team with some vital performances and our overseas player who played exceptionally well with both bat and ball.
