Shepherds Bush claimed an impressive win over Richmond in their latest Middlesex League Premier Division outing.

Captain Andrew Wilson chose to bat after winning the toss, but saw Jack Brydon and Henry Lewis fall cheaply.

Wilson made it into double figures, but was then run out, before Marcus Howard took charge of the innings.

Howard shared stands with opener Ben Davies (39), Alex Blofield (35) and Samuel Howell (31) and hit 12 fours in his 88 from 127 balls.

That helped the home side reach 239 in 66 overs, with Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (4-95) the pick of Richmond’s bowling.

And Samuel Howell struck two early blows with the ball in Richmond’s reply to remove both opening batsmen, before Adam London (33) and Jhunjhuwala (44) rallied.

Blofield (3-29) got in on the act to take out four middle-order batsmen, including a run out, and Howell came back to complete a 5-54 haul as Richmond were dismissed for 179 in the 50th over.
