Shepherd’s Bush claimed a 69-run victory at Teddington in their latest Middlesex League Premier Division outing on Saturday.
Put into bat at Bushy Park after losing the toss, Bush lost early wickets to find themselves in a spot of trouble at 33-4.
But Oliver James and Henry Lewis then combined in a vital fifth-wicket stand, putting on 171 to turn the match their way.
James hit eight fours in his 89, while Lewis struck seven boundaries in his 82 before he was first to fall.
The lower order also chipped in to lift the total to 261, but Teddington’s openers put on 52 in reply.
James made the breakthrough, then struck again soon after before James Kidson also had success to leave the hosts 76-3.
Teddington recovered to reach 176-5, but James then picked up his fifth wicket of the innings and went on to finish with excellent figures of 7-60 from his 25-over spell, as Kidson (3-80) helped secure victory.
