Shepherd’s Bush claimed their second win of the Middlesex League Premier Division season with an 80-run success over Finchley.

Put into bat, they saw Jack Brydon put on 69 for the first wicket with Ben Davies, before falling four runs short of a half-century.

Davies departed for 27 off 82 balls to leave them 97-3, but Oliver James (36) and captain Andrew Wilson (28) put on 52 for the fourth wicket.

And James Kidson hit four fours in a cameo 24 to help lift the total to 201 in the 65th over.

Ed Price struck early with the ball in Finchley’s reply, before Kidson claimed three wickets in quick succession to leave the visitors 52-4.

James (2-27) nabbed two wickets in three balls to make it 62-6, before the Finchley lower order rallied.

Kidson ended the resistance with his fifth wicket, then mopped up the tail to finish with 7-50.

Bush visit table-topping Teddington this weekend.
