Harrow Town were wll beaten by table-topping Wycombe House in their latest Middlesex League Division Three fixture.

Put into bat by the home side, Town saw Mohamed Ghouse put on 43 for the first wicket with Charity Gunasekara, who hit a six and seven fours in his run-a-ball 46.

But they collapsed from 62-1 to 82-9, with Buddhi Attanayake the only other batsman to reach double figures, and were eventually dismissed for 106 in the 38th over.

Sohail Elahi (6-18) and Mehboob Elahi (4-32) shared the wickets between them, but Muhammad Arshad (2-27) had early success for Harrow Town in reply.

That left Wycombe House 32-2, but it proved a false dawn for the visitors as the third-wicket pairing put on an unbroken 85 to secure an eight-wicket win in the 21st over.

Defeat leaves Harrow Town in fifth place on 45 points, one behind neighbours Wembley, at the midway point of the season.
