Harrow St Marys claimed a comfortable eight-wicket win over Twickenham in their Middlesex League Division Two encounter after a fine all-round display by Syed Khawar Ali Kazmi.

Omar Ali and Chris Brown struck with the new ball to leave the visitors 37-2, but David Russell (55) put on 88 with Clint McCabe before becoming Brown’s second victim.

Kazmi took the next four wickets to fall, including McCabe for an attacking 86, before Brown (4-57) returned to nab another brace.

And Kazmi then completed a 5-43 haul as Twickenham were dismissed for 211.

St Marys lost Nikin Ruparelia without scoring, but Andre Sharma put on 60 with Kazmi.

And an unbroken 152-run stand saw the home side to their target, with Kazmi finishing unbeaten on 137 from 129 balls, having hit a six and 25 fours.

Captain Ajay Soni was 53 not out at the other end, after hitting three boundaries in a 93-ball innings.
