Liam Hughes' side have suffered consecutive defeats in recent weeks

Hampstead visit Shepherds Bush this weekend in the Middlesex County League Premier Division eager to get back on track.

The Lymington Road club have struggled for form over the last couple of months and suffered back-to-back defeats most recently, but have still remained in fourth place.

Liam Hughes’ men have 75 points to their name, but last won in the league on August 4 at home to Finchley.

Since then, they have lost at Twickenham (August 11) and on Saturday went down to champions Richmond.

After winning the toss, Hughes put the visitors into bat first and saw them post 227-7 from their 50 overs.

Chris Beaumont-Dark (2-32) and Will Roberts (2-40) caught the eye, but Richmond were able to recover from 133-6 to set 228 to win.

Hampstead struggled from the off in reply and were 8-2 before captain Hughes staged a fightback with a breezy 23.

Jonathan Dunne added 26 to top score, but the hosts were quickly all out for 110.
