Harrow Town Cricket Club has received £47,920 in funding for new outdoor nets.

The grant from SUEZ Communities Trust (formerly SITA Trust) will go towards an all-weather practice facility at their ground, including a 33 metre, carpeted three-lane system with batting curtains and chairman Roy London said: “We are more than excited about this project. The club has been needing to enhance its training facilities and we are so thankful that SUEZ Community Trust has chosen us as their grant recipient this year.

“These outdoor nets willhelp us continue to offer a quality place to train for our members and encourage new members to join from our local community.”

Marianne Ivin, of SUEZ Communities Trust, added: “We’re really pleased to offer the club the funding for the replacement of the damaged mobile nets. We hope this gives a much-needed boost to the club and its players.”
