The club teamed up with Renegades to field a team in the under-12 competition and saw them go on to finish in third place.

And the under-14s, captained by Corinna Watts, went on to win all of their matches on the day to clinch first place after beating KITC in the final.

Goal defence Whitney Akem walked off with the player of the tournament award and the team will now go on to represent Brent at the London Youth Games finals at Crystal Palace next month (July 8-9). Their squad also included Abishna, Gayathri, Rayan, Daniella, Nisita and Muskan.

The London Youth Games is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and stages its road cycling and sailing finals at Lee Valley Velopark and Queen Mary’s Reservoir this weekend.
