Boro head to title favourites Blues on Saturday

Harrow Borough go in search of a third successive win in the Bostik Premier when they visit big-spending Billericay Town on Saturday.

Boro have seen recent results in the league pick up of late, recording back-to-back wins after ending a five-game losing streak earlier this month.

The latest success for Steve Baker’s men came at the weekend when they beat struggling Burgess Hill Town.

The Rogers Family Stadium club got off to the best of starts in Sussex, with Michael Bryan firing them into a third-minute lead.

Four minutes later, the Londoners doubled their advantage when Ryan Moss found the target.

However, with 13 minutes left in the first half, the Hillians pulled one back through Connor Tighe to trail 2-1 at the break.

And in the 68th minute, Town were level when Stephane Ngamvoulou, on loan from Wealdstone of the National League South, netted.

However, in the 83rd minute, Harrow regained the lead through George Moore and held on to win.

The success saw Boro increase their advantage over bottom club Burgess Hill to 13 points.

Baker’s boys will hope for a similar success this weekend, but know it will be difficult against Billericay.

The Blues have lost just once in the league all season, with that defeat coming on the opening day of the campaign at home to Kingstonian.

Since then, Glenn Tamplin’s team have been in dominant form, having clocked up 18 wins in their subsequent 21 league outings.

Town also reached the third round of the FA Trophy with a 3-2 win at home to Stourbridge on Saturday.

Harrow will be looking for an element of revenge this weekend when they visit New Lodge, having lost the earlier meeting between the sides at the end of November.

After holding out in the first half, Boro conceded a penalty which Jake Robinson converted in the 60th minute.

The Blues added a second four minutes from time, with Adam Cunnington finding the target.

Harrow will hope to find the target this weekend.
