A huge Zumbathon at a Sudbury sports centre raised £240 for charity.

Vale Farm Sports Centre in Watford Road, held the full-body, aerobic fitness fundraiser to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

The event was one of many free activities hosted nationwide at Everyone Active centres as part of National Fitness Day and staff are planning another in January.

A number of the experienced members took part in the event which was hosted in the packed out sports hall, complete with Latin American dance music and vibrant disco lighting.

Chris Williams, general manager, said: “We were delighted to see so many people get involved in the activities surrounding National Fitness Day.Everyone Active are committed to helping people get active, and National Fitness Day offered us a fun and creative opportunity to raise awareness on how to improve your health.”
