YOUNGSTERS, police and campaigners united to discuss community issues and
Guest speakers, at the Xpress Yourself debate, writes Kate Ferguson.
The event included DCI Mark Lawson from the Metropolitan Police and Afua Hirsch, legal affairs correspondent at the Guardian discussed the legal doctrine of "joint enterprise" in the context of youth gang violence and the criminal justice system.
And music was provided by Brent based youth group Strength in Numbers performed their track, Guilty by Association at the start of the debate.
Feima Sannoh, who helped organise the event, said: "These debates provide a safe environment for people of all races, ages and genders to express their opinions in a constructive manner. We hope that debating such issues will empower individuals to influence change in their community.
