CHILDREN have teamed up to become the new faces and voices of the borough's youth writes Sofia Mitra-Thakur.

New members of Brent Youth Parliament have been elected for the New Year, with recruits from schools and youth clubs.

Groups for young people with disabilities, young people with refugee status and in care were also involved.

The BYP members, who are aged between ten and 19 and are elected every two years, work with council officers, councillors and MPs to discuss and challenge policy decisions affecting young people in the area.
