Young neighbours enjoyed some movie magic at a festive fun day out in Stonebridge.

The Brent Movie Fun Day at St Raphael’s Children Centre, in Rainborough Close, on December 16, featured Disney’s Moana film and characters from the movie, Frozen.

Hundreds of film fans enjoyed the hit animation picture as well as a host of fun activities including arts and crafts, kids DJ sessions, and storytelling sessions at the event, which was organised by Stonebridge ward representative Cllr Zaffar Van Kalwala and Barnardo’s and supported by Wates and Daniels estate agents.

There were also information stalls and a number of budding Brent entrepreneurs who came to sample their wares ranging from homemade cupcakes to jewellery.

Cllr Van Kalwala said: “This was a great community event where everyone had fun at the movies. It also inspired children to be superheroes themselves by encouraging them to do better at school or anything else they want to achieve or excel at.”
